This is reflective of one of those moments when you realize your skill at doing something isn't quite at the level you imagined. Maybe take a pause, regroup, and look up at the disco ball in the sky. With regard to the art, this is done in Clip Studio Paint (I'm a HUGE fan of this software). The biggest challenge with this one was how to create the light reflections off the disco ball that we don't see. On a separate layer I dabbed (using the paintbrush tool) random splotches of light (same blue with a reduced saturation), and then used a Gaussian Blur filter (gives it that soft edge). I was pleased to see that it kinda/sorta worked at suggesting light being reflected off the disco ball and onto the roller rink floor.
